Storysacks
Storysacks are cloth sacks containing a story book and toys, books, flash cards, games and factual books which illustrate the story. The books are supplied by local primary schools, and the storysacks are enjoyed by all children but are particulary helpful and enjoyable for children with learning difficulties and children whose first language is not English.
Members of S.I. Lancaster often make Storysacks from brightly coloured materials, knit and sew some of the toys, and create some of the games. The completed sacks are then donated to the local schools which provided the storybooks.
